Taoyuan Through the Arts
This course aims to explore the story of Taoyuan through its various art forms. Students will be guided to present their findings of Taoyuan's history and characteristics in artistic forms. "Taoyuan Through the Arts" emphasizes an interdisciplinary perspective in the examination of art and urban culture. It intends to increase interactions between students and the communities of Taoyuan. Examples and tools in Art History will serve as starting points for this investigation.
Ecological Art
This course guides students to:
1. Know the major English vocabularies for Land Art and Ecological Art.
2. Survey the art history and examples of Land Art and Ecological Art.
3. Increase environmental awareness and reflection through knowledge in plant life.
4. Create Land Art on campus and works of art inspired by plants.
5. Explore the interrelationships between Art, Ecology, and everyday life.
Street Performance Art
To guide students to:
1. Survey Performance Art in Art History and its major artists and artworks.
2. To create performance art.
3. To consider the interrelationships between Street Performance Art, the self, and society.
