The Reason of hunger in Africa
Human famine has continued intermittently since ancient times. The famine was caused by man-made and natural causes.

Man-made famines are mostly related to wars, civil wars, tribal wars and international wars.

The solution of famines is closely related to wars and peace. Most of them belong to refugee problems, and problems between warring countries or warring groups.

The solution of man-made hunger is more cruel than war. and hostilities between the warring parties.

While hunger caused by nature is not as destructive as war, what human beings encounter is the irresistible destructive force of nature.
Creation Idea
Taiwan is located on the Tropic of Cancer and has many crops that can be cultivated, while Africa is located on the equator, and there are relatively few crops that can be cultivated.

Therefore, our group hopes to use Taiwan's abundant rainfall and pleasant weather to compete with Africa's scarcity. A comparison of rainfall and hot weather shows the issue of hunger.
Resource

Hunger
We believe that the cause of hunger in Africa or third world countries are
Lack of materials, low economic conditions, lack of development, war, poor land.
The symptoms of hunger are divided into
Physical Level: Hunger and Health Issues

Spiritual level: Basic food and clothing cannot be achieved, resulting in unsatisfactory spiritual level
psychic: Due to physical hunger, there is no clear plan for one's future, and the desire to survive decreases
How to visualize hunger:
We decided to create a dark, blurry, tree-like object with gloomy features, with shadows at the bottom.
Feeling hungry is like the shadow under the tree slowly swallowing a person's body and soul
Make people shrouded in layers of shadows and mists, and gradually lose themselves.
We use popsicle sticks to make the prototype of the big tree
huge and towering like an african bread tree
The thin iron wire wrapped around it, in addition to strengthening the trunk of the tree, also makes the subject look more ruthless and cold.
The top of the tree is also mainly composed of iron wire. In our hearts, such a big tree has no leaves.
The structure with only branches is also colder
Making works like this is hoping to see people feel hungry and helpless
and introspect deeply.
I hope this work can arouse people's concern and attention to nature, have a basic understanding of food waste and the development gap, have more empathy for nature and pay attention to environmental protection
Economy
Civil war, severe drought and high food prices are the main causes of this severe crisis, many countries struggled with barrenness and middle age for decades, in these fragile environments, many times there is no government or community support system to help these families. Droughts have become more frequent in western, eastern and southern Africa in recent years.
In South Africa, 40% of children are stunted due to chronic malnutrition. They lack the ability to learn and contribute to society.
This is because they do not have enough nutrition to support physical and intellectual development when they are young, so their country loses significant Leadership and innovation potential, so far unable to develop high-tech industries and industries, the economy still relies mainly on agriculture.
